Founder/Owner & CEO, ICORIIIS | Lisa Owusu Safo

Lisa Owusu Safo is the Founder and CEO of ICORIIIS, a botanical hair care brand and company built on faith, scientific insight, and plant-powered innovation.

What began as an idea in 2023 from YHWH, Lisa's GOD, matured over time, culminating in the official launch of ICORIIIS in May 2025. At 25 years old, Lisa officially introduced ICORIIIS, blending nature’s wisdom with meticulous formulation to elevate the botanical hair care experience.

Though young, Lisa carries profound knowledge and expertise. With four years of experience in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Product Stability Studies, beginning at age 18, her approach to product development is both precise and deeply personal. She currently formulates each ICORIIIS product herself, carefully crafting every treatment, oil, and blend by hand.

As an American Founder and CEO with Ghanaian roots, Lisa merges scientific research, generational wisdom, and a faith-based, purpose-driven vision to lead ICORIIIS.

Her early connection to plant-based wellness was shaped by her mother’s use of moringa, neem, aloe vera, spinach, and other botanicals for diet, skin, hair, and overall health. As a child with thin, shoulder-length hair, Lisa experienced firsthand how these natural remedies sparked transformation, becoming the root system for her vision.

A chemical mishap at a salon, where a hairstylist misread professional perm instructions, led to the complete loss of hair at the back of her head while she was in her final year of middle school. This traumatic moment didn’t just prompt healing. It ignited her mission to make botanical care accessible.

Today, she ensures ICORIIIS’s platform offers multilingual support, incorporating as many languages as possible through translation tools, so others don’t suffer due to miscommunication.

Relocating to the U.S. brought new transitions. After her first non-professional straightening, Lisa’s natural curls never returned. She committed to caring for her relaxed hair until split ends signaled the need for a big chop and a new chapter.

Her natural hair flourished. Yet years later, a friend accidentally snipped the side of her hair while removing braids, marking another twist in a journey full of damage, resilience, and rebirth.

Once again, she returned to botanical remedies, drawing from these moments to birth ICORIIIS. Lisa understands the trials of chemical and heat damage, and the long road to restoration. Her own story is woven into every strand of the brand’s purpose.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Security Technology-awarded with honors, and spent time in the tech industry participating in Capture the Flag competitions and professional tech communities. That digital fluency became fuel: Lisa singlehandedly built the ICORIIIS website, designed its strategy, and curated every visual detail. From modeling and photography to editing, she embodies the vision she presents.

Her leadership in front-end management at a talent agency sharpened her branding instincts and business acumen, equipping her to lead a company rooted in both credibility and creativity.

Through ICORIIIS Magazine, she extends the brand’s heartbeat, curating stories that uplift culture, nature, and science with beauty and depth.

Guided by her GOD through Jesus Christ, Lisa believes every detail of ICORIIIS reflects something greater than herself, and she gives all Glory and Honor to her GOD, YHWH.

Fueled by quality, storytelling, and botanical truth, she continues to evolve ICORIIIS into a bold and modern leader in hair care, proving that vision isn’t defined by age, but by devotion, lived experience, and faith.

Born from faith, shared with all, ICORIIIS is more than a brand. It offers healing through plants to every crown it touches, regardless of background or belief. Rooted in Lisa’s personal relationship with her GOD, YHWH, ICORIIIS invites everyone on a journey of restoration and renewal. Every crown is welcome. Every strand is cherished.
